Taiwan collects a 38.11% anti-dumping tax on cold-rolled stainless steel plates from mainland China

On 5th Mar, Taiwan Anti-dumping Tribunal announced the results of arbitration towards the imported cold-rolled stainless steel plates made in mainland China and Korea. A tax of 38.11% on anti-dumping will be collected from the involved Chinese cooperations since 15 Aug 2013 till five years later.

The arbitration was submitted in Feb 2013. Ever since 2008, the stainless steel industry in China has faced anti-dumping investigation almost every year called by EU, India, Russia, Thailand, Brazil etc. 

Despite the effect of anti-dumping arbitration, the internationalization of the trade in stainless steel industry is a must as the process of development according to the production limitation and consumption feature. In rephrase, stainless steel is consumed in almost every industry worldwide while only few countries have the raw material for its mass production. Therefore the trading environment for Chinese stainless steel would become more impartial in later years.
